Hi Chris,

I produce a monthly astronomy podcast at NASA. This month I am talking about the Crab nebula and would like to use this picture. I credit all the astrophotographers I use images from on the last part of the podcast. Your image evokes the words Charles Messier used when he first looked at M1:’It was the shape of a candle flame’. Thanks for the great image!

This month’s podcast is my favorite of all three years worth. I look for the wide angle low magnified images. We have Hubble/Spitzer/Chandra, etc for closeups. It’s hard to find images of constellations or “smudges” which is what the reader will see if they look at thee objects through a modest telescope. Not that your picture is a smudge of M1. It is a beautiful image!
